Subject of the award
Empirical or conceptual work from the field of (psychodynamically-oriented) psychotherapy research with a quantitative
or qualitative orientation.

Target audience of applicants
National and international scientists from the fields of psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, clinical psychology
and psychoanalysis.

Application modalities
Applications and proposals by third parties or a research institute are possible. The work has to be submitted
(in German or English) by e-mail with the CV of the first author to the Gesellschaft von Freunden und Förderern der HHU.
For projects in which several authors have participated, the written consent of all “co-workers” involved should be
enclosed with the submission of the applicant. The work should not have been submitted for an award or awarded elsewhere.
The financing of the work (e. g. pharmaceutical industry, foundation, etc.) has to be fully disclosed. 

Composition of the jury
The award winner will be selected by the board of trustees of the Heigl-Stiftung, which includes experts from various
universities in Germany and abroad as well as the President of the Gesellschaft von Freunden und Förderern der HHU.
